Your first Class
What to Bring:
A water bottle to stay hydrated.
A small towel to wipe away sweat.
Your own yoga mat.
A Yogitoes towel, if you have one.
Yoga blocks - I recommend at least two (here is a LINK to affordable blocks I really like, where you can purchase them if needed).
What to Expect in Your First Yoga Class
Bring curiosity and an open mind. Every teacher is different, and so is every yoga class.
This is your space. It's not a competition.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in, set up your mat, and settle in.
Please silence your cell phones and ideally leave them away from your mat.
Avoid heavy meals before class, but it's okay to have a light snack to give you energy.
Listen to your body and never push yourself beyond your limits. If a pose doesn't feel right, back off and ask for a modification.
If you have an injury that you are recovering from, please let me know in the beginning of a class. Yin class might be the best option to attend as your first class if you have prior injury and in recovery.
